Diablo Valley Young Executives is hosting a comedy night benefiting Arts Access, the outreach program of the Lesher Center for the Arts on Friday, July 25th at 1515 Restaurant and Lounge in Walnut Creek. Click here for tickets and information.

Chevron Family Theatre Festival: The second annual Chevron Family Theatre Festival is happening Saturday, July 26, 2008 and will feature more than two dozen professional family performances in the Center’s three theatres, lobbies and outside areas. Storytelling, costumed characters, puppet making, puppet shows, live music, sword fighting demonstrations, balloons, and, best of all, families enjoying theatre together, make this one of the most highly anticipated events of the year!

This year's lineup includes: The Sippy Cups, San Jose Taiko Drummers, Puppeteer Leslie Carrara, Fantasy Forum performing Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, the Rosen Family Singers, GLANK! and much more.

Aces for the Arts Poker Tournament - Saturday February 23, 2008, 5:30 p.m. at McGuire Harley-Davidson / Buell
Card sharks and friends of DRAA joined together at the McGuire Harley-Davidson showroom in Walnut Creek fo an evening of great food, beer, cigars and fun as they played and bluffed their way to the first Aces for Arts Poker Championship. Gifts were provided for every player and prizes for all who made the final table - plus fun raffle prizes along the way, not to mention special guests - The Oakland Raiderettes! It was a fantastic night in support of the arts! Thank you to our generous sponsor Mike McGuire of McGuire Harley-Davidson / Buell and event chair Kevin Sanchez.

Encore! for Educators: The first Encore! for Educators event, sponsored by WaMu, was held April 17, 2007 at the Lesher Center for the Arts, was a great success, bringing together nearly 200 educators for a night celebrating all they bring to the community.
